In view of the free training for 200 Ota youths in ICT-related Fields, the first and second stage of the Computer-Based Test have been carried out in order to conduct proper screening for all the prospective training participants.
Over 200 people participated in the test which held in the Open and Distance Learning facility at Covenant University.
The training is endorsed by the Olota of Ota – Professor Abdul-Kabir Adeyemi Obalanlege, the Local Government Chairman Ado/Odo-Ota – Hon. Sheriff Adewale Musa, The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), and the Management of Covenant University. It has attracted partners from Industries within Ota Local Government such as CWAY Food and Beverages Nigerian Company Limited, Laralek Construction Limited, Intercontinental Distillers Limited amongst others
The training goals encompass equipping the Ota youth with life transforming skills that will make them relevant to the Community, industries and themselves. The training will cover ICT areas in graphics design, Internet of Things (IoTs), Solar Panel, IT essentials and Phone repairs, Cybers security, Web design, Cinematography, and Python Programming.
