Health and Well-being

Thank you for your interest in the Health and Well-being Initiative of CU-CDIIC

CU-CDIIC on a regular basis engages in free medical screening, counseling, and donation of drugs, medical equipment, and consumables in addition to offsetting medical bills for indigent citizens as the case may be.

Some health programs targeted at members of the community are linked to the United Nations sustainable goals and these include: - The annual Medical Outreach in honour of the wife of the Chancellor – Pastor Mrs. Faith Oyedepo as part of activities marking her birthday on February 5, annually. Mostly Children, women and indigent persons in the host communities in their hundreds benefit from the free medical outreach. - International Cancer Day on February 4, 2021 was celebrated at Covenant University lecture presentation and free cancer screening for faculty and staff members of the University. - Commemoration of International Days including World Cancer day on February 4, World Health Day on April and World Malaria Day on April 25 among others - Commemoration of International Women’s Day on March 8 annualy - Commemoration of World Malaria Day on April 25 annualy - Commemoration of International Youth Day August 12 every year.

Thanks to Covenant University and the partnering organisers for putting up the one-day seminar. In my 10 years of residing in the community, nothing educative and impactful like this has been done for the children in the neighbourhood. We look forward to more and similar programmes towards reshaping the mindset and attitude of young people.
